'Baahubali: The Epic' box office collection Day 2: Set for another unprecedented day

'Baahubali: The Epic' is having another sensational day at the India box office

'Baahubali: The Epic' is having another superstrong day in India

SS Rajamouli's Baahubali series redefined box office myths and started the trend of pan-Indian films which are the norm today. While Baahubali in 2015 was a big success, it is the sequel Baahubali 2 in 2017 that decimated box office records across languages and territories in the country.

After eight years, the franchise is back with a modified re-release film Baahubali: The Epic and it is doing extraordinary business at the box office. The opening day collections across all versions in India touched Rs 10 crore and these are mind-boggling numbers for a franchise that has the most watched film in modern Indian history.

The second day's trends suggest another superstrong day for the film. The Hindi version started low with barely Rs 1.5 crore gross but it is expected to pick up through Saturday and Sunday. In the Telugu states, the film is on rampage mode and the all-India gross is higher than some of the opening day collections of mainstream Bollywood stars.

Baahubali: The Epic is a proper mix of Baahubali and Baahubali 2 into a single film with remastered technology. There are some added scenes as well. The craze around the film is immense and it is set to have a solid weekend. With the Diwali releases all nearing their theatrical run in terms of collections, Baahubali: The Epic could have a solid opening week.

As per early estimates, another double-digit day is in the offing for Baahubali: The Epic in India, which would take the two-day numbers to Rs 20 crore.
