Title issues with films are a common occurrence, especially when the title has significant brand value. Popular Tamil actor Ravi Mohan is the latest to suffer in this regard as his maiden production venture Bro Code has landed in legal trouble.
On Tuesday (October 28), the Madras High Court has passed an official order preventing the usage of 'Bro Code' as the title for the film. This is in response to a trademark suit filed by the makers of the Bro Code beer, Indospirit Beverages. With the passing of the court order, Ravi Mohan will have to make a change to the film's title.
The film's production house is unavailable for comment but an official announcement is expected soon. Apart from Ravi Mohan, the project also has SJ Suryah and Arjun Ashokan as the male protagonists with noted Kannada superstar Upendra also expected to play a key role. Shraddha Srinath, Gouri Priya, Aiswarya Raj and Malavika Manoj are the female leads in the film.
