Television star couple Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij are reportedly ending their 14-year marriage. According to a source close to the two, they had filed for divorce a few months ago.
Speaking to the Hindustan Times, the source said, “Much was tried, but nothing changed. Separation happened a long time ago. They filed for divorce a couple of months back. The papers have been signed and finalised in July-August, and the custody of the kids has also been decided upon.”
The couple got married in 2010 and has three children together, a biological daughter, Tara, and foster kids Rajveer and Kushi.
They said that the decision to end things came due to Mahhi’s serious trust issues with Jay. “Once known for their joint vlogs, they’ve stopped posting pictures together. Their last collab family post was in June 2024,” the source said.
Amid all the speculations, Jay recently posted pictures from a trip to Japan with his daughters, Tara and Kushi. His last post in Japan was made about five days ago. The actor posted many clips from the trip. In one post, where his daughter is seen carrying a suitcase down the stairs, he jokes, “When Japan’s taxes are too expensive and you still want to give your daughter princess treatment,”
Mahhi, meanwhile, moved into a new house two weeks ago. She is currently at Lucknow for a shoot after resuming her acting.
Rumours of their separation had spread much earlier. In July, Mahhi had responded to questions about her marriage, asking, “Why should I tell you? Are you my uncle?”
The actors have not yet commented publicly on their divorce rumours.
