An epic spanning multiple generations, the Baahubali films were born out of Rajamouli's love for classic mythological and comicbook stories. He created the screenplays based on a story by V. Vijayendra Prasad. MM Keeravani produced the chart-busting original music and background score.
Starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Nassar, and Sathyaraj among others, the big-scale fantasy epic was made on a budget of Rs 180 cr and grossed Rs 650 cr worldwide. Baahubali: The Beginning won two National Awards — Best Feature Film and Best Special Effects.
The makers had earlier teased, in March, plans of re-release when he asked followers whether they should go ahead with the plan.
The mention of "new reveals" and "few epic surprises" have led some to speculate whether there will be any additional footage or bonus material that would delight fans of the franchise.
The newly remastered and re-edited version of Baahubali will have a runtime of 3 hours and 40 minutes. It will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam.
