Actor Mohanlal, who hosts Bigg Boss Malayalam, on Monday warned certain online platforms against leaking content as well as speculating about the episodes in Season 7. This comes after eviction details were leaked on social media pages before it was telecast during the weekend.
In a promo video, Mohanlal slammed social media platforms responsible for the content leak and likened it to “spoiling the suspense of a thriller movie by revealing its climax.”
“There are always some who spoil the thrill by revealing the climax of a suspense thriller. I’m referring to a few social media spoilers,” the actor said.
Mohanlal pointed out that many viewers are eagerly awaiting Bigg Boss episodes with excitement but some social media pages are publishing details before the official telecast to ruin the viewing experience for genuine audiences.
“The viewers’ complaints are genuine. Ironically, some of the people who have made a livelihood through this show are the very ones acting against it,” said the actor. “In this age of advanced technology, we know exactly how to identify and control such actions — and we will do it. Let’s not lose the thrill of anticipation.”
In a press release, Asianet revealed that the Bigg Boss Malayalam team is considering strict measures against those involved in leaking information before the episodes are telecast.
This comes after information regarding the eviction of Oneal Sabu and Gizele Thakral were leaked online before the weekend episodes were telecast on Saturday and Sunday.
