Netizens zeroed in on a particular character introduced in the first episode: a stern and loud 'NCG' officer, who soon begins a self-righteous rant about the 'war against drugs'.

He is dressed in a white shirt and dark pants, and his physique and facial features very much resembled Wankhede, netizens pointed out.

"Aryan khan literally played here by casting sameer wankhede lookalike in the bads of bollywood," a user wrote on X, with a video of the character's introduction scene.

"#AaryanKhan literally roasted the life out of Sameer Wankhede," a second user wrote on X.

"The Sameer Wankhede cameo in the Bads*** of Bollywood Is too good lol. Iykyk," a third user quipped.

Who is Sameer Wankhede?

Sameer Wankhede headed an October 2021 raid by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on the Cordelia cruise ship, which led to Aryan Khan's arrest for drug possession and use under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

However, Aryan was later released by the NCB's own Special Investigation Team (SIT) with a "clean-chit": he was not named in the May 2022 chargesheet due to a "lack of sufficient evidence".

As the SIT probe continued, allegations arose that Wankhede's NCB team had committed "grave irregularities", and that he had even tried to extort money from Aryan and his family.

Wankhede is yet to respond to the purported cameo in the series.
