Pavitra Rishta actress Priya Marathe died at the age of 38 on Sunday, August 31, after prolonged battle with cancer. She was not seen on screen for several months and avoided posting on social media for over a year. After her untimely death, her posts on Instagram have resurfaced and they have left fans gut-wrenched.
Priya Marathe was last seen on Instagram on August 11, 2024, when she shared some adorable images with her husband and actor Shantanu Moghe. The couple was seen having a good time during their trip to Jaipur's Amer Fort. "Amer Fort.. Jaipur throwback. Awed by the hugeness and its intricacies.." she wrote. In a previous Instagram post, Priya donned the traditional Maharashtrian nauvari saree and nath.

Priya Marathe and Shantanu Moghe exchanged their wedding vows on April 24, 2012 in a private ceremony. Shantanu is known for the 2021 short film, Enigma- The Fallen Angel directed by Abhay Thakur and the 2023 Marathi period romance film, Ravrambha.
He appeared along with wife Priya in historical TV series, Swarajyarakshak Sambhaji, which released in 2017.
