Truth about Govinda and Sunita Ahuja divorce rumours revealed as actor's wife breaks silence

Separation rumours have been haunting actor Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja for several months with reports claiming that she filed for divorce. Now Sunita has quashed the rumours, saying "Govinda is mine alone".

The couple appeared together for the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations on Wednesday, putting up a united front. Sunita, who dazzled in a purple sari, said that no one can break their relationship and Govinda will always remain her husband.

Govind was spotted in a red kurta while their son, Yashvardhan Ahuja, who is set to make his Bollywood debut soon, also accompanied them.

Clarifying their relationship status, Sunita said, "Today we are so close, close... If something would have happened, would we have been this close? There would have been a distance between us! No one can separate us, even if someone comes from above, even God, no devil comes. No one can separate us."

Recalling the title of the movie, ‘Mera Pati Sirf Mera Hai’, she said, "Similarly my Govinda is mine alone and no one else's. Until we open our mouths, please stop say anything about us."

The couple got married in a secret ceremony 38 years ago. They kept the marriage under wraps until their daughter, Tina Ahuja, was born in 1989.

Tina recently dismissed the divorce rumours while speaking to The Hindustan Times. "It's all rumours. I don't pay attention to these rumours." She said she is blessed to have a beautiful family, adding that she is grateful for the love and support from the media and fans.

Govinda's lawyer earlier told NDTV that there is no divorce case and everything is being settled. "People are just bringing up old matters," he said.
