Mohanlal's family drama film is directed by one of the superstar's most frequent collaborators, Sathyan Anthikad. Co-starring Malavika Mohanan, the film, which comes from an idea by the director's son Akhil Sathyan, who made his directorial debut with Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum, represents another anticipated outing with Mohanlal and Sathyan Anthikad, a duo recognised for crafting unforgettable family dramas that won over numerous audiences, with their last collaboration being the film Ennum Eppozhum (2015). Hridayapoorvam is Anthikad's first collaboration with both of his sons.
Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira (Releasing on August 29)
The Fahadh Faasil-Kalyani Priyadarshan movies comes from actor-director Althaf Salim, who made his directorial debut with Njandukalude Naattil Oridavela. The trailer hinted at a quirky romantic comedy with Fahadh and Kalyani supposedly playing lovers. The other integral characters in the film are played by Lal and Vinay Forrt. A comic actor with a unique brand of humour, Althaf Salim has previously worked together with Fahadh in Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum, but in an acting capacity.
Lokah: Chapter One - Chandra (Releasing on August 28)
Starring Kalyani Priyadarshan, Naslen ("Premalu"), Chandu Salimkumar ("Manjummel Boys"), Arun Kurian, Santhy Balachandran, Vijayaraghavan, Nishanth Sagar, and Raghunath Paleri, the film is first of a multi-part superhero saga written and directed by Dominic Arun, with additional screenplay and dramaturgy by Santhy Balachandran. The universe is said to be inspired by Kerala's popular folklore and fantastical stories, in addition to popular comic book adventures. There's also a buzz of Dulquer Salmaan and Tovino Thomas appearing alongside the above actors.
