Aamir Khan, who recently created buzz on social media over his role in Sitaare Zameen Par and his cameo in Rajinikanth starrer Coolie, has unexpectedly hit the headlines for wrong reasons. All hell broke loose after his brother Faissal Khan claimed that Bollywood's Mr Perfect has an illegitimate son with British journalist Jessica Hines.
How did Aamir Khan meet Jessica Hines?
Author Jessica Hines reportedly met Aamir Khan for the first time during the filming of Ghulam in 1997. The Vikram Bhatt film starring Rani Mukerji opposite Aamir hit the theatres on June 19, 1998.
It was in 2005 when Stardust Magazine first reported about Aamir Khan's live-in relationship with Hines. When she told Aamir that she was pregnant with his child, the actor allegedly told her that she should get an abortion. However, she did not agree to his demand and went on to give birth to a boy, who she named Jaan. However, the magazine report claimed that Aamir did not accept the child.

Faissal claimed that Aamir was already having an affair with Hines when he was getting separated from his wife Reena Dutta.

Amid the shocking revelations, a social media account believed to be Jaan's has been leaked and photos showing him has surfaced online. However, THE WEEK cannot independently verify the authenticity of the social media profile. The purported account is followed by William Talbot and Jessica Hines.
Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta
Aamir was in a relationship with Reena Dutta long before he became a Bollywood star. He reportedly wooed her for years before she agreed to a relationship. The duo went on to have a secret wedding ceremony in 1986 and were married for 16 years. They share two children Junaid Khan and Ira Khan. Reena appeared alongside Aamir in his debut film, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. The couple called it quits a year after they teamed up for Lagaan.
Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao
Aamir Khan married Kiran Rao in 2005 and they share a son named Azad Rao Khan. Just like his marriage with Reena, he was together with Kiran for 16 years. The couple got divorced in 2021 but their "bond remains intact." They co-produced Laapataa Ladies in 2024.

On his 60th birthday in March 2025, Aamir Khan introduced his girlfriend Gauri Spratt to the world, revealing that they have been dating for 18 months. They posed before the cameras during the release of Sitaare Zameen Par recently. Aamir recently told The Indian Express that he and Gauri are "really serious" about each other and are in a committed relationship. "We are partners. We are together. Marriage is something, I mean, in my heart, I’m already married to her. So whether it’s, whether we formalize it or not is something that I will decide as we go along," the newspaper quoted him as saying.
