Coolie has amassed a humongous ₹550 crore worldwide from its pre-release business and is expected to shatter several box-officer records as it hits theatres on August 14.
Boasting of a star-studded ensemble cast, Coolie with a ₹350 crore budget has several numero uno actors from various film industries, including Rajinikanth, Aamir Khan, Nagarjuna, Sathyaraj, Upendra, Shruthi Haasan, Pooja Hegde and Soubin Shahir. Rajinikanth
Rajinikanth has reportedly been paid ₹200 crore for the ₹350 crore budget movie Coolie. His original fee was ₹150 crore, but the producers added another ₹50 crore to his kitty with the movie bagging record pre-release business.
Aamir Khan
Bollywood's Mr Perfect Aamir Khan appears in a key guest role in Coolie that lasts around 15 minutes. His cameo as Dahaa the gangster has reportedlyearned Aamir ₹20 crore. However, some reports claimed that the actor did not accept any remuneration.
Nagarjuna
Telugu superstar Nagarjuna has earned ₹10 crore for his role as Simon in Coolie.
Sathyaraj
Actor Sathyaraj took home ₹5 crore for his Coolie role as Rajasekhar.
Shruthi Haasan
Shruthi Haasan got a rumuneration of ₹4 crore for the role of Preethi in Coolie.
Upendra
Kannada actor Upendra was paid ₹4 crore for the role of Kaleesha in Coolie.
Pooja Hegde
Pooja Hegde, who made international headlines for her Monica song, even from Hollywood actress Monica Bellucci, was paid ₹3 crore for her stellar performance.
Besides the cast, the crew also earned a whopping remuneration. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj was paid ₹50 crore helming Coolie while music composer Anirudh Ravichander got a sum of ₹15 crore.
