The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's fire brigade was notified about the fire at 6 AM, where a blaze was reported emerging from a tented area of the set, located just behind the Marathi Bigg Boss set. The fire was confined to the electric wiring and installations, plastic, iron and decorative materials, cameras, costumes, lighting system and studio equipment in the 5,000 sq ft area of the Anupamaa studio, a civic official said.
The flame was doused in four hours, with a cause yet to be ascertained.

All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) President Suresh Shyamlal Gupta reacted to the situation on X (formerly Twitter), stating that several workers and crew members were present at the time. He blamed the fire breakout on the “blatant negligence of producers, production houses, and television channels, who consistently fail to implement even the most basic fire safety measures.”
