Patel is an Emmy award-nominated actor who debuted in showbiz in 2007 with British soap opera EastEnders. He landed his first major film role in Danny Boyle’s Yesterday. The Odyssey will not be his first collaboration with Nolan. He appeared in the 2020 sci-fi film Tenet, alongside Robert Pattinson, who is also cast in Nolan’s upcoming directorial.
Academy Award nominee Page, known for his breakout role in Juno, is also a fresh addition to Nolan’s next feature film. The two had collaborated earlier in Inception, a sci-fi thriller about dreams. More recently, Page starred in the final season of Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy.

Irwin, a Tony award-winning comedian and stage performer, will also join The Odyssey’s cast. He had a role in Nolan’s 2014 space epic Interstellar, where he voiced the robot TARS and puppeteered the bot along with the robot CASE. He will reunite with actors Anne Hathaway and Matt Damon, both of whom played pivotal roles in the film.
Golden Globe-winning actress Morton will also join Nolan’s star-powered The Odyssey cast. Unlike the three aforementioned, the Walking Dead actress has not had any past projects with Nolan. The Odyssey will mark her first.
The previously announced cast also includes Tom Holland, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal, Benny Safdie, and John Leguizamo. Backed by Universal Studios, filming is set to begin in early 2025 in Sicily, with an IMAX release planned for July 17, 2026.
