After months of waiting, Salman Khan’s fans are all set to receive their late Christmas gift from the superstar – the Sikandar teaser. Khan announced last week that the much-anticipated teaser of the A.R. Murugadoss directorial would be released on December 27 – on occasion of his 59th birthday.

Now, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, bankrolling the film, has announced that fans would have to wait a little while longer for the teaser trailer. Posting on X (formerly Twitter), the production house notified the fans that the trailer – initially scheduled to release on December 27 at 11:07 AM – will now be released on December 28 at 11:07 am in light of the passing of former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh.

“Our thoughts are with the nation during this time of mourning. Thank you for understanding,” the post concluded.

On Friday, the Centre announced the observance of a 7-day national mourning period for the former PM., who passed away on Thursday, December 26.

Though the teaser will be released on Saturday, the shoot for the film is not yet wrapped up, with reports suggesting that it aims to conclude by January 2025. Sikandar, aiming for an Eid 2025 release, will be Khan’s first feature film release since starring in Tiger 3 (2023), aside from cameos in Singham Again and the upcoming film Baby John.
