Bollywood couple, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, have revealed the name of their baby girl – Dua Padukone Singh.
They shared the happy news on Instagram along with a picture of Dua, dressed in pink.
The couple explained the significance of the name in the caption. “Dua Padukone Singh | दुआ पादुकोण सिंह | ‘Dua’ : meaning a Prayer. Because She is the Answer to our Prayers. Our hearts are filled with Love & Gratitude. Deepika & Ranveer.”
Many fans and celebrities, were overjoyed by the news. Alia Bhatt, Orry, Ananya Panday and Dia Mirza shared their love in the comments.
“Such a gorgeous name,” Karan Johar wrote.
Dua was born on September 8, 2024. She is Deepika and Ranveer's first child.
The duo have worked together since 2013, their first collaboration in critically acclaimed film Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, then later on appearing in hit films Bajirao Mastani (2015) and Padmaavat (2018).
They tied the knot on November 14, 2018 at Lake Como, Italy. The couple announced their pregnancy on Instagram in February.
More recently, Deepika and Ranveer were seen in Ajay Devgn-starrer, Singham Again.
