In a video doing the rounds on social media, BJP MP Hema Malini is seen pushing a female fan's arm away while she was getting her picture clicked with the actor-turned-politician. The incident happened during the release of ‘4 Bhajans’ in Mumbai. The event was also attended by eminent musicians like Nitin Mukesh, Anup Jalota and Hariprasad Chaurasia.

In the video, the Sholay actor is seen telling a fan not to touch her when she tries to put her arm around her back. Hema Malini, though irritated, went on to get the picture clicked.

Hema Malini’s reaction left the internet divided. “She’s totally right. People need to understand boundaries,” said one user. Another said, “She was gracious to agree to pose with the fan, but the woman went too far.”

Other netizens were critical of Hema Malini's behaviour. “Hema Malini removed her hand as if she thinks of herself as far more superior.” Another wrote, “That lady should have walked off, refusing to get a photograph with Hema Malini!”

Many were also quick to compare her to Jaya Bachchan, who has had run-ins with the paparazzi in the past.
