Stars touched the ground on Monday night as who-is-who of the celeb world rocked the red carpet at this year's Met Gala. Themed around “The Garden of Time".

While the glitz and glamour hogged the limelight, what made the event more exciting was the fashion and the craftsmanship of designers from around the globe.  Here is an account of all the Indians who attended the Met Gala this year and what they wore.

Alia Bhatt

Clad in a mint green saree with floral prints and gemstone embellishment, Alia proudly flaunted her tradition in this timeless attire. To accentuate her look, she went in for subtle makeup that compliments her skin tone. The exemplary design is crafted by the famous Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherji. With this unique piece, he has made history as the first Indian designer to walk at Met Gala.

Alia Bhatt took to X to say that it took 163 dedicated individuals and several craft, dyers, and a total of 1,965 hours to craft the piece. "It is my second time at the Met and first time wearing a saree. When I thought of the dress code; 'Garden of Time'. I felt like it needed something timeless and there is nothing more timeless than a saree".
