Renowned film-maker Imtiaz Ali said there are no plans to make Love Aaj Kal 3 or Jab We Met 2, but, added that he "never says never". Ali said this in an interview with Pinkvilla. The director is currently gearing up for his latest film Amar Singh Chamkila, starring Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra.
“Well, no. No Love Aaj Kal 3, no Jab We Met 2, as of now. I don't know whether I should ever make a sequel but let's see,” he said.
The 2007 film Jab We Met, gained cult following. Another popular movie, Love Aaj Kal, got a sequel, which starred Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan. The original starred Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan.
The director said that he has three scripts he is eager to start working on. Amar Singh Chamkila actor Parineeti Chopra, in the meanwhile, expressed her gratitude towards the film's team.

Amar Singh Chamkila is based on the real-life story of the 70s Punjabi singer by the same name. The movie is set to release on Netflix on April 12.
