Jonathon Majors' former girlfriend Grace Jabbari, is suing the Marvel actor for battery, assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress, malicious prosecution and defamation.

Majors, in December, was found guilty of misdemeanour charges of assault and harassment of his then-girlfriend Jabbari. Sentencing for the case is set for April 8. Majors has maintained innocence during the case. After Majors was found guilty, Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Co dropped him.

A lawsuit filed by Jabbari claims that Majors subjected her to “a pattern of pervasive domestic abuse that began in 2021 and extended through 2023”. Jabbari, a 31-year-old British dancer, filed the action in federal court in Manhattan, according to a PTI report.

Jabbari's lawyer Brittany Henderson, said the latter shown tremendous bravery in her quest for accountability. Majors was reportedly furious that Jabbari had named him as an abuser.

Priya Chaudhry, Majors’s lawyer in the criminal case, said that the lawsuit “is no surprise. Mr Majors is preparing counterclaims against Ms Jabbari,” a Guardian report reads. Henderson said, “We strongly believe that through this action, truth and transparency will bring Grace the justice that she deserves.”
