Elvish Yadav emerged as the winner of 'Bigg Boss OTT' Season 2 on August 14, defeating Abhishek Malhan in the finale and taking home the trophy and Rs 25 lakh cash prize. The 25-year-old YouTuber and content creator who entered the second season of spinoff show as a wild card contestant broke silence about joining the original reality show's 17th season.

In an interview with the Indian Express, Elvish addressed the rumors about him contesting in 'Bigg Boss 17', saying, “I will watch it [on television] for sure. Honestly, I haven’t thought about it yet as I just stepped out. Also, I am on a break now and want to spend some time with my family. I spent too much time away from them and want to overcome that phase first.”

There is no confirmation about when 'Bigg Boss' Season 17 will begin but rumors suggest the show might kick off by October. Some of the contestants in the OTT version are likely to join the show, according to reports.

The Gurugram-based content creator has two YouTube channels – one that is named after him with over 10 million subscribers and Elvish Yadav Vlogs with 4.75 million subscribers. He had a huge fan-following on TikTok before the app was banned in the country.

The OTT show's second season, originally planned for six weeks, was extended for two more weeks. Pooja Bhatt, Manisha Rani and Bebika Dhurve were the other finalists in the show hosted by Salman Khan. Aashika Bhatia who joined as a wild card along with Elvish was evicted abruptly. However, Elvish won over fans and became the first wild card contestant in the history of Bigg Boss to win the show. Akanksha Puri, Cyrus Broacha, Jad Hadid, Aaliya Siddiqui, Avinash Sachdev, Puneet Superstar, Falaq Naaz, Palak Purswani and Jiya Shankar were also part of the show

In a video, runner-up Abhishek who was seen wearing a hospital gown, said he was hospitalized again after being a part of the finale episode and congratulated Elvish. He thanked the Panda gang, who are his followers, for voting for him, adding that “I may not have won the trophy but I see you love. I am sure I do not deserve so much love from you all.”
