As Rajinikanth fans celebrate the success of Jailer, director Nelson Dilipkumar is planning a sequel to the Thalaivar-starrer. Riding high on the box office success of the film that raked in over Rs 150 crore in three days in Indian theatres, Nelson said he also dreams of a film that brings together superstars Rajinikanth and Vijay.

In a post on X, trade analyst Manobala Vijabalan shared that the filmmaker also plans to bring sequels for Beast, Doctor and Kolamaavu Kokila. Manobala also shared on Monday that Jailer breached the Rs 300 crore mark at the global box office on the fourth day.

Jailer is Rajinikanth's fourth film after Endhiran, Kabali and 2.0 to enter the club. Besides his fan base in India, Rajinikanth also boasts of massive fan following in the US, UK, Europe and the Middle East.

Jailer, the hugely-anticipated action flick, saw Rajinikanth returning to the big screen after a gap of two years. He donned the police uniform again in the film that featured Malayalam actor Vinayakan as the antagonist.

Along with an extended cameo by actor Mohanlal, the film features an ensemble cast including Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah Bhatia and Yogi Babu. The film's songs composed by Anirudh Ravichander have also been trending.
