Hombale Films' debut venture in the Malayalam film industry

Hombale Films, makers of massive blockbusters like KGF and Kantara, released the trailer of their next film Dhoomam, on Thursday. Billed as an action-packed suspense thriller, Dhoomam is Hombale Films' debut venture in the Malayalam film industry.

The first look poster of Dhoomam was recently released, revealing Fahadh Faasil in the lead alongside Aparna Balamurali. The movie also featured Achyut Kumar, Roshan Mathew, Vineeth, Joy Mathew, Dev Mohan, Anu Mohan, and Nandhu in significant roles. Launching the poster on his Twitter handle, Fahadh Faasil said, “Prepare for a smoke-filled journey into the heart of darkness, where the stakes are high and secrets are deadly. This edge-of-your-seat suspense thriller will keep you guessing at every turn, until the final puff.”

With a captivating vibe, the trailer hints at a potential gangster drama. Dhoomam is directed by Pawan Kumar, known for films like Lucia and U Turn. The trailer opens with Fahadh's character presenting an anti-smoking warning in a boardroom. We then see glimpses of a kidnapping and ransom threat. The movie suggests the presence of multiple twists and turns, aligning with Pawan's previous works, known for their well-paced narratives.

Fahadh, known for his performances in films like Trance, Joji, and Vikram, is in his element in Dhoomam." Aparna, known for her pivotal roles in Tamil and Malayalam films, brings depth and complexity to her character, intriguing the curiosity of the audience. The trailer highlights the actors' versatility and assures viewers of an engaging experience that will keep them on the edge of their seats.

The music for the film is composed by Poornachandra Tejaswi, while the cinematography is being handled by Preetha Jayaram. Dhoomam is a pan-Indian production, set to release on June 23 in Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu languages.
