Oscar-winning song 'Naatu Naatu' from S.S. Rajamouli's blockbuster RRR has been on everyone's lips (rather, on everyone's feet!) ever since its release. Social media has been abuzz with videos of people trying to match the steps of actors NTR Jr. and Ram Charan Teja.

One such video, where Ukranian soldiers are seen dancing to the foot-tapping number, is going viral. The soldiers recreate the scene from the film, but with a twist – the video is aimed at Russia. In the actual scene, Ram Charan and NTR Jr. engage in the 'dance fight' with the British.

Ukraine and Russia have been at war for over an year now.

Interestingly, 'Naatu Naatu' was filmed in Ukraine in August 2021, months before Russian forces invaded the country. Ram Charan had thanked Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky for supporting them and allowing them to shoot at Ukraine’s presidential palace.

The video was tweeted on May 31. “The military from Mykolaiv filmed a parody of the song #NaatuNaatu from (India) of the movie "RRR", the main soundtrack of which won an Oscar this year. In the original scene, the main characters express their protest against the British officer (colonizer) for not allowing them to meet with a song,” the translated caption reads.

It goes on to add that the dance performance “is against the Russian Federation”.

The tweet has garnered over 1,800 retweets, 230 quotes and 6,752 likes so far.
