Many eagerly-awaited shows and films released on different platforms in June. As the month draws to a close, here is a quick look at what is arriving on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney plus Hotstar and other platforms this week.

Baymax!: Disney plus Hotstar

Release date: June 29

We were first introduced to the adorable inflatable robot Baymax in the 2014 Disney animated film Big Hero 6. Disney brings back Baymax in a new adventure comedy series set in San Fransokyo. Baymax returns with his friend Hiro, this time as a healthcare companion.

Stranger Things S4 Vol 2: Netflix

Release date: July 1

Season 4's first volume comprising 7 episodes dropped in June, and has kept fans on the edge of their seats. In Volume 1, the show followed the lives of the characters in multiple locations like California and Russia as well as their native Hawkins. In 2020, the streamer had confirmed that Jim Hopper will return for the fourth season after the character had seemingly died towards the end of the third season, which premiered in July 2019. Volume 1 left fans fans with many questions about Eleven, Vecna and the Upside Down. Volume 2 will hopefully answer those questions. However it comprises of only two episodes before the sci-fi drama heads to season 5 which will be the finale.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo: Netflix

Release date: June 29

This new Korean drama from Netflix revolves around a young attorey who suffers from Asperger's syndrome. She tackles challneges in the courtroom and beyond as a woman and as a newbie at a top law firm. The show features Park Eun-bin, Kang Tae-oh and Kang Ki-young in pivotal roles.

Samrat Prithviraj: Amazon Prime Video

Release date: July 1

The Akshay Kumar-starrer period drama is headed the OTT way less than a month after its release in theatres. The film directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and produced by Yash Raj Films, also marked the acting debut of Manushi Chillar. The film, however, failed to impress critics and audience. Samrat Prithviraj, which was made on the budget of Rs 200 crore, failed to cross even Rs 100 crore mark at the box office in India. The film will stream in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
