Brad Pitt has accused his ex-wife Angelina Jolie of seeking to "inflict harm" on him by selling her stake in their French vineyard to a Russian oligarch. Pitt is suing Jolie over the sale of her 50 per cent stake in Chateau Miraval to Yuri Shefler, whom Pitt described as a stranger with "poisonous associations and intentions."

Pitt sued in February, saying the couple had agreed never to sell their interests without the other's consent, and accusing Jolie of seeking "unearned" profits, AFP reported. "Through the purported sale, Jolie sought to inflict harm on Pitt," according to the documents, which were filed last week.

In the lawsuit, Pitt stated that he and his former wife agreed not to sell their stakes in the venue without the permission of the other.

Pitt and Jolie have been embroiled in a bitter divorce battle for years. Jolie and Pitt, who tied the knot in 2014 and split just two years later. The couple have six children—Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne.
