Mollywood film Joji, starring Fahadh Faasil in the lead, won top prize at the Swedish International Film Festival.

Faasil took to social media to announce that the movie, directed by Dileesh Pothan, won 'The Best International Feature Film Award' at the Swedish International Film Festival (SIFF) 2021.

He also tagged the director of the movie, writer Syam Pushkaran, and his co-stars Baburaj, Shammi Thilakan, and Unnimaya Prasad in the post.

Joji, a retelling of Shakespearean tragedy ‘Macbeth’, was released to widespread praise and critical acclaim to Amazon Prime earlier this year.

Swedish International Film Festival is an annual film festival, launched in 1990, to celebrate independent films across the world.
