From Jennifer Lopez-Ben Affleck’s kiss to Kim Kardashian’s covered face: Epic moments from Met Gala

Met Gala 2021 that took place on Monday saw celebrities walk the red carpet at their fashionable best. The gala event that celebrates fashion was cancelled last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  This year's official theme was American Independence.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez sent fans into a frenzy. Pictures from the couple's PDA moment at this year's Met Gala are all over the Internet. Jennifer walked the red carpet in a Ralph Lauren ensemble with a thigh-high slit, faux fur wrap, and a cowboy hat, while Ben Affleck wore a suit. The couple, with their masks on, kissed on the red carpet and the pictures are going viral. At the Venice Film Festival earlier this month, the two walked on the red-carpet hand-in-hand and made their relationship official.

Billie Eilish stepped out at her first Met Gala, wearing a dramatic nude princess dress by Oscar de la Renta. Her hair was styled in a Marilyn Monroe-esque bob. According to The New York Times, Eilish got Oscar de la Renta to agree, as a condition of wearing their dress to the Met Gala, that they would stop using fur in their designs.

The boldest fashion choice was probably by Kim Kardashian who arrived at the Met Gala covering her entire body, including her face, in an all-black ensemble. Kim wore a full-body get-up featuring a black face covering that she paired with a body-hugging tunic-length T-shirt, catsuit, elbow-length gloves and jersey boots.
