The release date for Bell Bottom, the movie starring Akshay Kumar, has reportedly been pushed to August 13 due to COVID-19. The spy-thriller set in the 80s was originally supposed to be released on July 27. The movie's release is being postponed as there are no signs of theatres reopening due to the second wave of the pandemic.
Raj Bansal, a leading film distributor from Rajasthan said, “Looking at the current situation I don’t think cinemas will fully open by July 27 so there is every chance ‘Bell Bottom’ may release on August 13”. The movie also stars Huma Qureshi, Lara Dutta and Vani Kapoor.
Last month, Akshay Kumar took to social media to announce the release date of the film. He shared a video and wrote, “I know you have patiently waited for the release of #Bellbottom. Couldn’t be happier to finally announce the release of our film. Arriving on the big screens worldwide #BellBottomOn27July”. The movie is directed by Ranjit Tewari.
