Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor on Sunday took to Instagram to announce that he has tested positive for COVID-19. He informed his fans and followers that he was asymptomatic and will be quarantining at home.

“It is my duty to inform all of you that I have tested positive for coronavirus. I’m feeling ok and I’m asymptomatic. I have isolated myself at home under the advice of doctors and authorities, and will be under home quarantine. I thank you all in advance for your support and I will keep you updated about my health in days to come. These are extraordinary and unprecedented times and I have faith that all of humanity will overcome this virus. Much love, Arjun,” he wrote on a note on Instagram.

In response to the post, several of his fans wished him a speedy recovery and asked him to stay strong.

Arjun’s father and Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor’s domestic staff had tested positive for the coronavirus in May. Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan, his son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai had tested positive for COVID-19 in July. Abhishek and Aishwarya’s daughter Aaradhya also contracted the virus.

Arjun had earlier announced that he would be next seen in horror comedy Bhoot Police with Saif Ali Khan, Yami Gautam and Jacqueline Fernandez. He is also working on a cross-border romance film with Rakul Preet Singh.
