Mollywood director Geetu Mohandas’ Moothon, a poignant love story starring Nivin Pauly, Roshan Mathew, Sobhita Dhulipala and Shashank Arora in the lead, has been released on ZEE5.
The film, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in September 2019, was well received in various international film circuits. It had a decent run in theatres too.

Moothon, set in Lakshadweep and Mumbai, is a bilingual drama in Hindi and Malayalam. The film's brilliant cinematography was much talked about. The camera was helmed by ace cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, who happens to be the husband of Geethu Mohandas. The film was produced by Anurag Kashyap.
Moothon is the second outing of Geethu Mohandas as director. Her debut film, Liar's Dice, had won the best actress and best cinematography award at the National Film Awards. She also bagged the Global Filmmaking award at the Sundance Film Festival, the only Asian to receive it.
