'Fake, incorrigible lie': Amitabh Bachchan on reports of him testing negative for COVID

Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan, who is admitted to Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai after testing positive for COVID-19, refuted news reports that claimed that he tested negative for the disease.

Taking to Twitter, the actor said the news is "incorrect, irresponsible, fake and an incorrigible LIE."

Apart from Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Aaradhya Bachchan too are admitted in the hospital after contacting the disease. Earlier, the hospital had said the Bachchan family members were responding well to the treatment.

After being admitted to the hospital, Amitabh Bachchan has been regularly updating about his health on social media. “In happy times, in times of illness, you our near and dear, our well wishers, our fans have ever given us unstinting love, affection care and prayer...we express our bountiful gracious gratitude to you all .. in these circumstances hospital protocol, restrictive,” the actor had recently said in a social media post.

He had also thanked his fans and others in blogpost. "My dearest extended family, your concern, your prayers and your wishes for Abhishek, Aishwarya, Aaradhya and me for a speedy recovery has filled me with unending gratitude. I thank you all," the actor wrote.
