Aishwarya Rai, daughter Aaradhya admitted to hospital after testing COVID-19 positive

Bollywood actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan, who were under home quarantine after testing positive for COVID-19, have been admitted to hospital.

They have reportedly been admitted to Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai, where Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai's husband Abhishek Bachchan are undergoing treatment for COVID-19. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) confirmed that Aishwarya and Aaradhya have been admitted to the hospital.

Earlier, in a tweet, Abhishek had confirmed that Aishwarya and their daughter Aaradhya had tested positive and would be quarantining at home. "Aishwarya and Aaradhya have also tested COVID-19 positive. They will be self quarantining at home. The BMC has been updated of their situation and are doing the needful. The rest of the family including my Mother have tested negative. Thank you all for your wishes and prayers," he wrote.

After the Bachchan tested positive, their residence, Jalsa, was sealed off as a containment zone.

Meanwhile, Jaya Bachchan was tested negative for the disease.

On Thursday, Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter to express his gratitude to his fans and well-wishers for their blessings and prayers. “I receive all your blessings and love and prayers for our well being .. on sms, on whatsapp, on insta on Blog .. and all possible social media .. my gratitude has no bounds .. Hospital protocol is restrictive, i cannot say more .. Love,” he had tweeted.
