Former cricketer S Sreesanth will play the lead role in the Marathi film ‘Mumbaicha Vada Pav’.
The movie with a different theme from the usual Marathi films, will be jointly directed by producer PK Asokan and filmmaker Meharali Poyilungal Ismail. Both of them had collaborated in the Malayalam film Munthiri Monchan.
Sreesanth said the move will entertain all class of people and he has an actor-oriented role.
The film, which casts some prominent actors from both Malayalam and Marathi cinema, will begin shooting in the first week of April 2020. Some of the well-known technicians in Indian cinema indutry will also be working on it.
Sreesanth had acted in the Richa Chadha-starrer film "Cabaret", produced by Pooja Bhatt and Bhushan Kumar, and directed by Kaustav Narayan Niyogi. He played the lead role as a bike racer in 'Team 5' shot in Australia, Bangalore, and Goa
Sreesath comes a family of people who work with the film industry—his sister is an actress in Malayalam TV serials, brother a musician, brother-in-law a singer and his father had acted in Malayalam films.
