Actor-turned-politician Nusrat Jahan married Kolkata-based businessman Nikhil Jain, in the Turkish town of Bodrum. Sharing a photograph from the wedding, she wrote: “Towards a happily ever after with Nikhil Jain.”
Nusrat Jahan, a first-time MP, won on a Trinamool Congress ticket from West Bengal's Basirhat. She was among the women candidates hand-picked by Mamata Banerjee during the recent Lok Sabha polls.

The wedding, which was attended by family and close friends, also saw the presence of fellow first-time MP from West Bengal, Mimi Chakraborty. Chakraborthy, also an actress, won from Jadavpur by a huge margin, on a TMC ticket.
The two young MPs were trolled on social media recently after they posted selfies in front of the parliament. They drew social media ire for being 'inappropriately dressed' for parliament. The young women had worn formal pants and tops.
According to reports, Nusrat Jahan and Nikhil Jain will hold a reception in Kolkata on July 4.
