Amid speculations, Akshay Kumar clarifies he is not contesting elections

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar sparked rumours of him joining politics and even contesting the general elections with a cryptic tweet on Monday. “Getting into an unknown and uncharted territory today,” he said. Putting an end to speculations, he put out another tweet clarifying he is not contesting elections.

There were rumours the BJP would field the actor this Lok Sabha elections. Akshay Kumar was also one among the celebrities Prime Minister Narendra Modi had recently tagged in tweets, urging them to encourage people to vote in the upcoming elections.
