Lady Gaga and her fiancé, Christian Carino, have officially ended their engagement. A representative confirmed the same to People on Wednesday. “It just didn’t work out. Relationships sometimes end,” the source said. “There’s no long dramatic story.”

Gaga and Carino had been together for over two years. Fans have been speculating if the engagement was broken after Lady Gaga appeared at the Grammys recently without Carino, and without the engagement ring. The split also comes in the middle of speculations of a romance between Lady Gaga and her A Star is Born co-star, Bradley Cooper. Ever the since the film released, fans of both Gaga and Cooper have been asking them to get togther in real life. The film features the romantic relationship between a singer, Ally (Gaga) and her mentor and musician, Jackson (Cooper). Besides some amazing music and addressing issues like addiction and mental health, the film was also hailed for the couple's onscreen chemistry.

Cooper had also made a surprise stage appearance at Lady Gaga's show in Las Vegas in January where they performed the hit song 'Shallow' for the crowd.

Lady Gaga has been nominated for two Academy Awards—best actress and best original song, Shallow, which recently won two Grammys and a Golden Globe.
