The first look poster of Yatra, a biopic on Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy featuring actor Mammootty, was leaked on Sunday. Tweeted an irked movie director Mahi Vraghav, "Appreciate and overwhelmed by the interest and support for Yatra... it is not fair to leak and undermine the work of the technicians. The official poster will be shortly out."
In the poster, the Malayalam superstar bears a striking resemblance to the charismatic erstwhile chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.
It is after almost two decades that Mammootty is starring in a Telugu movie. The biopic will concentrate on the time period from 1999-2004, when YSR took out a 1,400-km padayatra that shaped the politics of the undivided Andhra Pradesh. As reported by Times of India, the director dismissed speculations that Tamil star Suriya had been approached for the role of Jagan (YSR’s son) and Nayanthara for the role of Vijayamma (YSR’s wife).
