A satellite image of Pakistan’s Bholari Air base shows the repair work undertaken by the military to offset the damage inflicted by India’s BrahMos missile during last May’s Operation Sindhoor.
A before-and-after image shared by geo-intelligence and OSINT analyst Damien Symon shows the structural repair works undertaken at the air base after an Indian missile struck the base, damaging a Saab 200 AEW&C (Airborne Early Warning and Control) aircraft stationed inside. The air base is situated less than 100 miles from Karachi, and was nearly a dozen air force targets struck by India during Operation Sindoor.

“Nearly nine months after an aircraft hangar was struck, during the May 2025 India-Pak conflict at Bholari Airbase, Pakistan, repair activity now appears to be underway with recent imagery showing the hangar roof partially removed,” Symon posted.
In the Indian strike, a hangar had suffered considerable damage on its rooftop, satellite images had revealed.
Though Pakistan officially did not confirm the attack, the Chief Minister of Pakistan's Sindh province had said that Indian air strikes targeting the Bholari airbase resulted in the deaths of six air force staff members. The Indian Air Force damaged the air base after Pakistan attempted to hit India’s military bases during the Operation Sindoor, though the attempt was foiled by India’s air defence systems.
Soon after the attack, Symon had posted a satellite image on his X handle showing a tarpaulin covering the hangar at the airbase. The waterproof sheet was likely used to protect the air base or as a cover to the damage, while restoration activity is likely taking place at the base.
Not just Bholari, India had also struck other key airbases, including Nur Khan, Sargodha, Rafiqui, Murid, Chaklala, Rahim Yar Khan, and Chunian.
