Deputy head of the Russian Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation Mikhail Babich claimed that the key characteristics of the Russian Su-57 fifth-generation fighter jet are much better than US and Chinese competitors, even as Russia is set to hold talks with India on procurement of the fighter jets after the aircraft makes a demonstration flight at the ongoing Aero India show in Bengaluru.

"From the point of view of key characteristics – signature, information awareness, target tracking, and weapons – Su-57 is definitely ahead of its competitors," news agency TASS quoted Babich as saying.
Even as America's fifth-generation combat aircraft F-35, which is also part of Aero India, too is being put forward for meeting the requirements of India, Babich said the price-quality ratio is in favor of the Russian jet.

According to Vadim Badekha, head of United Aircraft Corporation, the fighter jet is the best in the world in supersonic flight distance and maneuverability. "Su-57 is the only fifth-generation jet equipped with a low-observable regulated air intake which provides the best in the world characteristics of supersonic distance, flight endurance and supersonic maneuverability."
Babich said talks will be held with India on procurement and added that exhibitions like Aero India are held to develop negotiations.
Clarifying that Russia is ready for joint production of Su-57 with India and share combat aircraft technologies with the country, he said, "Naturally, we are ready for that and believe the Indian partners can always join the project."
It is clear for everyone that Su-57 today is the only fifth-generation fighter jet which is licensed both for demonstration flights and daily engagement experience, Babich added.
