Swedish aerospace and defense company Saab has completed the supply of man-portable, single-shot, fully disposable, anti-tank weapon AT4 to Indian armed forces.

The company was awarded the contract for the weapon in 2020.

The AT4 support weapons, which are fairly easy to use, will be used by both the Indian Army and Indian Air Force.

AT4 is optimised for ease of operation and offers maximum versatility and ease of use amongst the family of AT4 weapons, according to the company.

Major features of this anti-tank weapon include high fire-power and an effective range of 200–1,000 m.

"For any experience level, a dismounted soldier simply aims, fires and destroys the target before discarding the empty tube. AT4 is truly characterised by its ease of use and handling," a description of the weapon on the company website reads.
