Jio IPO received the highest-ever applications for any initial public offering in India, with investors subscribing more than 22 times by the end of the application window period.

Competition in the future?
Several brokerages expect the stock to fare well in the future, but competition, heavy capital spending, and potential changes in India’s telecom regulations were flagged as challenges.
The telecom company has overtaken its major competitor, Bharti Airtel, which has a market capitalisation of ₹12,11,842 crore. Jio’s market capitalisation is ₹12,51,967 crore.
Airtel’s share price was down 1.81 per cent today, trading at around ₹1,942. Though the stock’s fall is partly driven by investor attention shifting to Jio’s IPO, recent plans to scale Airtel Money into a major financial services arm have raised questions regarding cash flow.
