The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) recently appointed Neerja Birla, founder and chairperson of the Aditya Birla Education Trust, as the Vision Chair for the CII India Wellbeing Initiative, a platform that aims to promote workplace wellbeing, human sustainability, and mental health.

Neerja Birla’s commitment to redefining mental health and education sectors in India aligns with the objective of CII in bringing together resources, conversations and events for mental health and wellbeing.

As the wellbeing of people becomes increasingly inseparable from organisational resilience, performance and long-term growth, the platform seeks to bring together business leaders, policymakers and experts to drive deeper dialogue, meaningful action and measurable change, CII announced.

Birla also chairs Mpower, a leading mental health initiative which she founded under the Aditya Birla Education Trust (ABET).

CII hopes to lead a movement with Birla’s dedication in advancing mental wellbeing and its efforts to advance conversations and initiatives around emotional well-being and holistic wellness.

As Vision Chair, the initiative looks to Birla to bring her experience in mental health advocacy and social development to the same.
