Though he was rushed to Narayana Multispecialty Hospital in HSR Layout but later succumbed to his injuries.

Chiriankandath Joseph Roy alias C.J. Roy, who hails from Kochi, was estimated to have a net worth of Rs 8,400 crore, according to unconfirmed sources. His luxury car collection boasts of 12 Rolls-Royces, including one Phantom VIII. He also has various Lamborghinis and a Bugatti Veyron.
Roy, 57, founded the Confident Group in 1991. It has a total of Rs 2,039 crore worth of assets, as of March 31, 2025. The conglomerate is involved in real estate, education and hospitality.
Confident Group is known for its debt-free model, completing 159 projects across India, the UAE and the USA. This includes the Rs 3,000 crore Zion Hill Golf County project in Bengaluru.
He was also known for his involvement in the Malayalam entertainment industry. He has produced several Malayalam movies, many of them starring actor Mohanlal. Confident Group was also the title sponsor for several reality shows, including the Star Singer show and Bigg Boss Malayalam.
