The State Bank of India (SBI) has recently revised charges for transactions carried out at non-SBI ATMs and Automated Deposit-cum-Withdrawal Machines (ADWMs).

The revised structure, effective from December 1, 2025 onwards, was introduced due to "the upward revision in InterChange Fee", the bank notified. Charges at SBI's own facilities remain unchanged.

These new revisions are the first since they were revised on February 1, 2025.

The revised tariffs mainly affect savings, salary, and current account holders who have exceeded their stipulated free transaction limit.

The limit is five free transactions for savings account holders, which stays the same. However, salary account holders now face a free transaction limit of ten, unlike before, when there was no limit to the number of free transactions they could make. Current account holders, like before, have zero free transactions.

In all three cases, the free transaction limit includes both financial and non-financial transactions.

For savings bank account holders, the charge per withdrawal for a financial transaction is Rs 23, plus GST—up from the previous rate of Rs 21, plus GST.

The charge per withdrawal for a non-financial transaction is Rs 11, plus GST—up from the previous rate of Rs 10, plus GST.

For salary bank account holders, the charge per withdrawal for a financial transaction is Rs 23, plus GST, while that for a non-financial transaction is Rs 11, plus GST—both of which were once free.

For current account holders, the charge per withdrawal for a financial transaction is Rs 23, plus GST—up from the previous rate of Rs 21, plus GST.

The charge per withdrawal for a non-financial transaction is Rs 11, plus GST—up from the previous rate of Rs 10, plus GST.

SBI has also said that there will be no changes to the charges for Basic Saving Bank Deposits (BSBDs) and Kissan Credit Cards (KCCs).
