With Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging Indian consumers to make use of the GST reform benefits, all eyes are on what gets cheaper and costly from September 22.
The new GST rates have set a 5 per cent slab for daily essentials while other goods and services will come under 18 per cent slab.

FMCG companies have already extended the benefits to consumers by revising the MRP of products. ITC's 100 ml Savlon will see a price dropping from Rs 400 to Rs 374 while Sunfeast Marie Light 956g pack will cost Rs 20 less at Rs 150 and their 1 litre cow ghee will cost Rs 1010 instead of the earlier Rs 1,080.
Amul 200 g paneer will see price drop from Rs 99 to Rs 95 while its ice cream products will now cost Rs 9 to Rs 550 instead of Rs 10 to Rs 600.
PepsiCo distributor Varun Beverages cut the prices of 1 litre Tropica apple juice from Rs 115 to Rs 105, 1.2 litre Slice mango juice from Rs 70 to Rs 65 and 1 litre Aquafina water bottle from Rs 20 to Rs 18.
Dabur cut the price of 900g Chyawanprakash to Rs 440 from the earlier Rs 475. The 1 litre Real Juice pack will now cost Rs 130 instead of Rs 122 while the 200g Dabur Red and Meswak toothpastes will see their prices dropping from Rs 153 to Rs 135.
Nestle India changed the price and quantity of Maggi noodles as the 500 g pack, which used to cost Rs 120, will now come in a 600 g pack at a cost of Rs 116.
The government has directed pharmacies to revise MRP of medicines after taking into account GST cut benefits.
Clothes and footwear under a certain price point, bicycle and stationery will also come under 5 per cent slab.
Air conditioners, refrigerators, dishwashers and large screen televisions will see GST dropping from 28 per cent to 18 per cent. Home builders will also benefit as GST on cement will move to 18 per cent slab.
Small cars and two-wheelers will also come down to the 18 per cent slab. Maruti Suzuki India has slashed vehicle prices by up to Rs 1.29 lakh.
The prices of entry-level model S Presso will go down by up to Rs 1,29,600; Alto K10 by up to Rs 1,07,600; Celerio by Rs 94,100; Wagon-R by up to Rs 79,600 and Ignis by up to Rs 71,300.
Swift price will be cut up to Rs 84,600 while Baleno will see Rs 86,100 drop; Tour S by up to Rs 67,200; Dzire by up to Rs 87,700; Fronx by up to Rs 1,12,600; Brezza by up to Rs 1,12,700; Grand Vitara by up to Rs 1.07 lakh; Jimny by up to Rs 51,900; Ertiga by up to Rs 46,400, XL6 by up to Rs 52,000.
Similarly, prices of Invicto will reduce by up to Rs 61,700; Eeco by up to Rs 68,000 and Super Carry LCV by up to Rs 52,100.
Tata Motors reduced the price of compact SUV Punch by Rs 85,000 and Nexon by Rs 1.55 lakh, while mid-sized Curvv will see a drop of Rs 65,000. SUVs Harrier adn Safari will see prices cut by Rs 1.4 lakh and Rs 1.45 lakh.
Hyundai's Verna will see price drop of Rs 60,640 and SUV Tucson will be discounted by Rs 2.4 lakh.
Honda will reduce prices of Amaze by Rs 95,500, Elevate by Rs 58,400 and City by Rs 57,500.
Kia India will slash prices of vehicles by up to Rs 4.48 lakh while Toyota Kirloskar Motor will cut prices of its cars by Rs 3.49 lakh.
Hero MotoCorp bikes and scooters will see a price drop of up to Rs 15,743 and Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India will prices cut by up to Rs 18,800.
