Almost every detail of the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Victoris, the automaker’s Arena flagship car, is out—except its price. The highlight is its record-worthy mileage!
Despite sharing the powertrain options with Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota’s Hyryder, Victoris edges them both in fuel efficiency. With a curb wright of 1,145-1,305kg, Victoris stands among its siblings. Both Grand Vitara and Hyryder offer the following fuel efficiency figures for their different powertrains: petrol manual (21.11kmpl), petrol automatic (20.58kmpl), petrol AT-AWD (19.2kmpl), CNG MT (26.6km/kg), and hybrid-CVT (27.97kmpl).
However, ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of the Victoris is as follows: petrol manual (21.18kmpl), petrol automatic (21.06kmpl), petrol AT-AWD (19.07kmpl), CNG MT (27.02km/kg), and hybrid-CVT (28.65kmpl).
Victoris is victorious in all other options except the all-wheel-drive model. Available in 103hp mild-hybrid petrol, 88hp CNG, and 116hp strong-hybrid powertrain options, the Victoris also offers the same engine and gearbox options as the Grand Vitara and Hyryder.
The 103hp engine comes with 5-speed manual/6-speed torque converter automatic options.
Meanwhile, the Victoris petrol AT has an additional all-wheel-drive option. The Victorious CNG is only available with a 5-speed manual transmission.
Altogether, the Victoris is available in eight variants with FWD and 4WD configurations.
Key features include a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, OTA updates, a panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS safety features, ventilated front seats, an 8-way powered driver's seat, 64-color ambient lighting, wireless charging, LED projector headlamps, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The Victorious has also achieved a 5-star rating in the Bharat NCAP crash test. Available in 10 colours, the Victorious also offers four driving modes.
The Maruti Suzuki Victoris will now be included among the Maruti Suzuki models manufactured in India and exported to foreign countries. Maruti Suzuki looks to export the Victoris from India to over 100 countries. The Victoris can be booked for Rs 11,000 through Maruti Suzuki's Arena dealerships and online.
The expected price range of Victoris is currently around Rs 9.75 lakh to Rs 20 lakh across variants. Maruti Suzuki is yet to announce it. Pricing the car competitively could make it quite a good buy this festive season.
