With Bharti Airtel and Apple entering into a strategic content partnership, here is how Airtel customers can get access to a limited period of free access to Apple Music and Apple TV+, according to the latest regulatory announcement by the telecom giant.
All customers of Home Wi-Fi with plans starting from ₹999 would have access to Apple TV+ "with the option to stream content on multiple devices".
Postpaid customers on plans starting from ₹999 would not only get access to Apple TV+ but can also enjoy six months of free Apple Music, stated Airtel.
On Monday, Bharti Airtel announced it entered into a strategic partnership with Apple to bring Apple TV+ streaming services and Apple Music to Airtel customers.
Airtel CMO Siddharth Sharma said, "This collaboration offers an extraordinary opportunity to millions of our Home Wi-Fi and Postpaid customers, giving them access to Apple’s premium content catalogue."
Apple India’s director of Content and Services, Shalini Poddar, said: "The partnership aligns with our strategic goal of making award-winning content, stories and entertainment readily accessible, with something for everyone."
The Home Wi-Fi plans that offer Apple TV+ as part of them are priced at ₹999, ₹1099, ₹1599, and ₹3999 monthly. Customers of the ₹999, ₹1199, ₹1399, and ₹1749 monthly postpaid plans would get access to Apple TV+ and six months of free Apple Music.
Apart from Apple TV+ and Apple Music, some of these plans also offer Amazon Prime, Netflix, ZEE5, and Jio Hotstar.
Apple TV+ boasts of an impressive catalogue following its global launch in November 2019. So far, Apple Original films, documentaries and series have earned 550 wins and 2,557 award nominations around the world.
