BEL receives orders worth Rs 1,940 crore in one month

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), on Thursday, signed a contract with construction major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) for the supply of 14 communication and electronic warfare (EW) sensors and systems worth about Rs 847 crore.

These systems will be installed on three cadet training ships of the Indian Navy.

This collaboration between BEL and L&T exemplifies the strong partnership between the two companies and underscores the broader cooperation within the Indian industry, BEL said in a statement.

According to the company, the successful execution of this contract will involve the participation of several micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

Besides, BEL also got other orders worth Rs.1,092 crore following the last disclosure on February 13. These orders include the supply of LRUs (line-replaceable units) for T-70 & T-90 Tanks, communication systems for the Indian Navy, and other spares and services.

The PSU company has received orders worth Rs 32,716.33 crore this financial year.
