Union Minister for Railways and IT Ashwini Vaishnaw remarked that designing and developing an indigenous 2.4 tbps router is really a momentous achievement for the country. He was speaking while inaugurating the fastest indigenously developed router by Bengaluru-based Nivetti Systems.
The minister said that a core router is very important for Digital India and it is a matter of pride that such a complex system has been designed, developed and manufactured in India.
Vaishnaw further said that India has emerged as a nation for providing services. India will continue to grow on services, but in parallel, India will also make efforts to become a product and a manufacturing nation, he said.
“Innovators will have an environment where they can get 10x results for the efforts and make a big difference for the country and also export globally,” said Vaishnaw. He added that today's manufacturing is where there are lots of software, innovation and combination of brain power in the hardware.
