Wipro has filed a civil lawsuit against its former Chief Financial Officer in a Bengaluru court.
Dalal has requested the court to refer the matter to arbitration under Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996.
Both parties have presented their arguments but the specifics of the case remain under wraps. The next hearing is scheduled for January 3, according to The Times of India.
Who is Jatin Dalal?
Jatin Dalal who began his career with General Electric in 1999 joined Wipro in July 2002. With a total experience of more than 21 years at Wipro, he was appointed as the company's CFO (Europe, Global Head of Finance - Energy & Utilities and Manufacturing & Hitech SBUs) in 2009.
In 2011, he became CFO (IT Business) before taking over as Wipro's President and CFO in Bengaluru in April 2015. He submitted his resignation on September 21 and exited the company on November 30. Dalal took over as Cognizant CFO in New York on December 1.
Aparna Iyer replaced Dalal as Wipro CFO.
